Currently watching an episode of Bar Rescue where the owner of the bar is complaining about people calling out of work.
Jon gets right in the owners face and screams at him to take ownership of the fact that his employees are not coming to work, “You need to understand if you had the loyalty of your employees they’d be here”. This is a sentence that many bosses, managers, CEO’s etc. need to hear.
IMO loyalty at work comes 70% or more through compensation, and the rest is how you conduct yourself with your employees and how you treat them regarding time off and emergencies.
Pay your employees and don’t be a jerk. Or else Jon Taffer will come berate you with his camera crew.
