If I quit my job after being out for medical leave would I have to pay back my benefits?

I live in CT as I know every state is a little different. So I was working at a place that overworked me incredibly. I had to work days, evenings, and nights each week and barely had time to sleep. One day at work I admitted to a coworker about being suicidal and she told my boss. I’m not mad at her as I was able to stay in the psych hospital for a week and I’m currently in a 6-week outpatient group therapy program. Also my blood pressure was 170s/100s in the hospital from the stress of the job. Luckily it has come back down since being out. I would leave the job already if I could but I need the insurance to pay for all this and I applied for state paid FMLA benefits. I don’t think I want to go back to the job but will do…

If I just say I’m not coming back will I have to pay back the FMLA or do I need to work a little bit and then quit? Thanks for any insight.
