Decided to apply, as I can literally see the casino from my porch and better than nothing temporarily while I search for better.
Got an interview and holy shit.
Starting pay is $9.50
They require you to:
1. work split shifts with distances between locations being 30+ miles at times with no mileage comp.
2. Pay for your uniforms and gear . (Deducted from pay)
3. Pay for your state license. (Deducted from pay)
4. Pay for firearms training that's conducted by an in house company instructor. Yes, you have to pay the company for taking training from them. (You guessed it, Deducted from pay!)
5. The firearm you carry cannot even be loaded. (What's the point of even carrying it?!)
After all deductions per check til everything is paid off, you'd be making MAYBE $4.75 an hour for a month, maybe two depending on your total hours each week. (Up to 40, maybe as low as 20)
They then have the nerve to wonder why no one accepts. I've seen and heard some ridiculous shit in my years concerning jobs, but damn…
