Medical field. Been there about 3 years (8-5, M-F, holidays off and a few grand of untaxed bonuses a year) . Love the people I work for and with. But the pay is ass and NO benefits. Now moved an hour away and on top of the ass pay and no benefits, it's putting a damper on not only my finances, but my life as I spend so much of it driving and at work. More important to me than the pay, is 401K. I'm 30 and have NO retirement. I already have an interview this week. Looking around places are not only offering hire on bonuses, +$10 an hour (even more if i take an overnight or ER !) , but BENEFITS! Don't stay where you're at because you're comfortable there, do better for you and your family! For your future! Bittersweet and I'm going to be sad when I leave, but I need to look for more for my family and future.
