I work for a staffing firm and specialize in permanent placements. A lot of the positions we get are hard-to-fill for various reasons. Sometimes the pay is too low. Sometimes the job is hard or extremely specialized. Sometimes the employer is too picky. Sometimes the candidate pool is just too small. I can usually overcome most of these challenges. When it comes to pay being too low, I can often talk some sense into them. That's not the case with this one…
The job is basically an account manager. The employee would be responsible for fostering client relationships and responsible for “all business functions in the operations department (except new sales).” Requirements include: bachelor's degree, 1+ years experience in sales or account management, and bilingual English/Spanish. Pay is only $30-35k. No bonuses/commissions. No company-provided benefits. PTO is 5 days a year. They won't budge on this and aren't willing to see candidates outside of their range. So I guess that's going on my list of “positions I will never fill.” Not wasting any time even trying because any candidate deserves way better!
