I’m a student worker and work about 30 h/w, while also writing my thesis – my contract only says 15 h/w

I can feel that I’m about to go down with stress and I’m only in my early twenties. I’m currently writing my Masters thesis and I work 30 hours a week. Not because I need necessarily need the money, but because my boss and colleagues keep giving me their tasks and work, so I have to work overtime so that I can keep up with the workload. I only come in 2 times in the office a week, because I want to use the other days on my thesis and on free time. I only come in 2 times in the office a week, because I want to use the other days on my thesis and on free time.

My boss gets annoyed/mad when I don’t keep up with my work (which I to some degree understand) but I’m already working way too much, I really think that there is a limit to how much you can expect from a student worker who already is working 30 hours a week. My contract also states that I ‘only’ have to work 15 hours a week. But if I only worked those hours it would be impossible to finish all the tasks and projects that I have going on at work.

My boss says that if I can’t keep up I need to give my tasks away or ask for help. But it’s hard when I’m only in the office 2 times a week. And I just know that I’d I do she would come with some mean comment about me not being capable of doing my job correctly anyway.

I work in Human Resources, and I can’t comprehend how a HR-manager (my boss) can’t take care of a HR student worker.

My boss can be really mean at times, and I get anxious every time I see an email from her in my inbox.

I’m almost losing my mind.

I’ve already resigned, but due to my contract I have to work until the end of may.

There is no help to get from the other colleagues in my office.

I don’t know what I want with this post, maybe just rant, but I’m so tired and I hate everything at work.
