According to the Federal Reserve, the total wealth of the United States was estimated at $135.1 trillion in 2020. After removing the value attributed to residential real estate, the estimated total net worth per person over 18 years of age is about $434,117.65. (Source: Federal Reserve)
Additionally, we estimated the total income generated by citizens and companies in the US, which was about $18.6 trillion in 2020. After removing income generated from residential property ownership and not double-counting business income paid out in wages, the estimated total income per person over 18 years of age is about $60,057.50 per year or $5,004.79 per month. Based on these estimates, we hypothesized that if all resources were divided equally based on needs, each adult in the US could have a net worth of about $400,000, an income of about $3,000 per month, and free housing.
Tl/dr: If the wealth in the usa was divided equally each adult would have about $400k in assets (excluding housing), free housing, and about $3k a month after tax in income.
