I’m an Engineer making less than a delivery driver

I am a Plant Engineer with a large brown mail delivery company. I am in charge of keeping 8 buildings running across 3 states. I am on call literally 24/7. Often get calls at 3 in the morning and still have to be at work by 8. Have worked several 18 hour plus days. My nearest coworker is 8 hours away. Yesterday i was dealing with returning forklifts that we had rented to deal with increased volume over Christmas. Things were going slow so i was talking with the driver. We got to talking about my job and ended up talking about pay. Turns out he makes about $3 more an hour than I do. Now I am not mad that he is making that money, it's great for him. Been really hard to care about my job today.
