I work with a client who we've had for 10 years. Recently, they have discussed contract renewals and we have been getting lots of ominous emails from the account manager stating that they might be going to some competitors. In the meantime they have been hyper critical of our work and we had to write a 1 page essay essentially begging the client to let us keep our jobs. For context, I work in personal injury cases, but I don't have a degree in anything just industry specific licensing. Part of me thinks it's them trying to intimidate us but I am genuinely afraid here as my financial situation isn't great.
I have been applying to simular jobs and I've gotten a few callbacks, but does anyone have suggestions on jobs where insurance adjusting transfers well into? If i do actually get laid off (verdict hasn't been released yet) the 6 months will for sure make me look bad.
