i've been sick since monday and it's just been getting worse. i've been feverish, sore throat, congested, headache. i've been using at home tests for covid that have been negative, but i feel like that's what it is. i work for a remote call center and the condition i'm in isn't optimal for talking on the phone with people for 8 hours a day. i'm still not better and feel like i need to call in again tomorrow but i'm so scared i'm gonna lose my job. it's horrible that i can lose my job due to something i can't control. but i also don't want to work at a place that will fire me for such things. why does having a job in the us have to be like this?
