I was rehired at my job at $12.75 an hour but I’m still making what I was at before, which is $12.00. I was told it would take time to process my pay wage, but it’s five checks later and I’m still not at the correct wage. My boss has contacted her boss multiple times and also resubmitted my starting wage to the company so that they had no reason to say there was a mistake. But still, nothing. I’m on the verge of quitting, but I’ve also been trying to do my research on the matter. I’ve been wondering if this is some kind of wage theft? I live in Illinois and I couldn’t find anything regarding the legality of the issue at all. I’m kinda lost as of what to do.
Any advice?
