A little bit of a rant here but my employer has now made all of its technicians flat rate. They say they expect us to show up at 9 and leave no earlier than 5. Technically speaking if we only are payed based on the specific jobs that we do rather than on the hours we are there, they cant keep us on a schedule and we should be able to come in and leave whenever we want right? By the way for reference I live in Idaho, USA to you nerds who are very quick with the searches and can give me some sources on laws regarding this. Im a bit of a noob when it comes to labor laws. Id appreciate any advice or loopholes youve got.
