I’m sick and tired and impatient customers and I’m on the verge of quitting

I recently started working remotely for an insurance agent that’s located in the western US. I’ve worked for the same big insurance company but for a different agent previously. Kind of the opposite problem now, before it was terrible agent and somewhat terrible customers, now it’s customers that are driving me so crazy and stressed that I have increased anxiety issues, more palpitations, have gotten hemorrhoids now, but great boss. Gives me time off to go and be involved in my kids school and go do things like kindergarten graduation. But after this week I’m really really over it, customers that don’t even give you 24 hours to respond to an email before becoming hysterical, dealing with claims, and banks contradicting themselves but getting impatient and throwing you under the bus when it’s really on the mutual customer. I have dreaded every day this week since Tuesday. If it wasn’t so hard to find something comparable I’d leave. I’m sick of smug ass customers that think they’re the only customers in the god damn world like seriously get the fuck over yourself you’re not our only customer and I’m busy as fuck because I’m the one responsible for 90% of service, have to be first on the phone But I’ve been getting so tied up in claims that I’ve been spending 2-3 hours of my day this week just dealing with claims. I’m just sick of it. The weekends are not long enough to recover from a mentally draining week like this plus using that time off to catch up on things, like putting up laundry, cleaning, cleaning projects like reorganizing the pantry because it’s gotten bad. Plus trying to take your kids to the neighborhood pool because you feel bad for them that you can’t do anything with them after school because you have to get back on the clock and work and after work you don’t feel like doing anything and don’t really even have time because you have to eat and do homework then get ready for bed. And then maybe if you’re lucky you might get time to do one of your hobbies but by then you don’t feel like it because life has just sucked the energy and joy out of you that you don’t feel like doing a damn thing. And I’m going to go back to I can’t fucking stand the customers, like yesterday I let someone know we’re mailing something, we only have 1 address for them they asked where did we send it, yesterday I was really busy so didn’t respond yesterday and was going to double check with the co worker that sent it out, but then this morning they send “hello!!!!????? Where did you send it” like where do you think we sent it we only have 1 address. I swear I don’t know if it’s a regional cultural thing like I’m from the south and I have never had to hold so many adults hands through something that is pretty self explanatory, never had so many customers practically bite my head off for not immediately responding to something. Like seriously these customers will call and I’m not exaggerating there are some that will call 3-5 or more times in a row if you don’t answer the first time. Like seriously how you like that if we kept calling you like that? You would probably complain and get the practice outlawed, but since we’re the business we’re supposed to take the abuse? Like I’m sorry I’m over it.
