I’m sitting in a Holiday Inn Express listening to the “kitchen” manager ream out an employee.

They offer a complimentary continental breakfast. I actually can’t eat any of it due to health issues, but I wanted to eat the food I packed at a real table and not on a hotel bed. You better believe I’m going to ask my husband to let me leave a review about this. This poor employee has been apologizing and just trying to deescalate, and the manager keeps coming after her. I can hear it ALL in the dining area. I know I can’t, but I want to walk in there and give this lady a hug and tell her to find something better. Alas, we are in a tiny town on a road trip and this might be the best there is. Manglement at its finest, folks. Editing to add: my husband booked it under his account so he will get the email asking about our stay. He never leaves reviews and I am an avid reviewer. I like to praise people and make sure they get recognition for their efforts, as well as point out what could be improved. So when I say “let me leave a review” I mean “please open that email and hand me your phone so I can speak up about what I witnessed.”
