(i’ve made this post before, but just a little update as my post was deleted due to a screenshot of a group chat) anyways, i’ve recently started as a housecleaner for this company in my area, and i immediately started noticing problems. the last manager before the new one was fired because she couldn’t do her job right, wasn’t treating the employees well, etc. but the new girl isn’t better. we’ve had two meetings in the last week, both filled with “y’all are fucking up, you’re doing this wrong, you’re messing with my bonus” when i’ve been here for just now a week. but also, the pay is terrible. we use our own vehicles to drive to the houses from the office, which we’re told we’re reimbursed based on mileage, even though we write our minute time down and not miles traveled. but i was told we were paid 10 for travel when i started, to now i’m not sure how it’s calculated at all. we get paid 14 for the hour as we’re cleaning, but we have 6-10 room houses for two people we’re required to finish in under 3 hours, or we get written up or not paid (which is an issue by itself). so, i’ve been talking with a few of my coworkers (who, i learned, have all been here less than a month) that going to the labor board would be a good idea. i went ahead and typed out my complaint and sent it into the federal office, just waiting on a call back. i hope this place gets shut down ngl.
