I'm 22 years old , and have been working on and off for about 4 years now. I will be honest I'm not the type of person who likes working hard, unless the work really interest me. I do see myself as a good worker with a pleasing personality.
But, Im tired. I don't want to work anymore for 10$ an hour. I want to make money, real money. I want to feel the fruits of my work to be all mine, or at-least most of them. This is not the situation right now.
I work at a famous book store in my country. Biggest franchise probably. I have to serve idiots everyday, why tho? Why be in the lowest place in the food chain while you can be better? Why are the other workers just accept this reality? Am I crazy or am I the only one who sees the truth?
Take for example a deal one of my colleagues made today, he sold books for 2500$ in one deal, just one! That's amazing but also sad. I wanted to confront him with the sad reality that not a single penny will go to his wallet. I didn't ofc.
This is so fucked up, my life are fucking shit and I want to change that.
