So I am 38 and by and large when I work somewhere, I am that person who is there for years and years. However, I am still bouncing around from company to company for very legitimate reasons, but I am starting to worry that my age is going to play a factor in getting decent jobs.
I'm gonna turn 40 next year and I sit and think if a hiring manager had to choose between me, who may have 20-ish years left and a 25-year-old who theoretically could work there 40-ish years and everything else was similar enough, I'm gonna get passed over for the younger person because they have more of a future. (I said 25 so someone could have 3-7 years experience by that point)
Does anyone else have this worry or pressure that if they don't settle for something now/soon they're gonna be fucked?
