I’m writing a book that could be a symbol for this sub – and I need your help.

Hello! I'm an aspiring author looking to get my first deal in my debut novel. I've been working on this idea for years now, and I believe it is a good enough idea to put myself out there and try the big leagues! However, I'm kind of a lonely person with not many friends, and understand that feedback and critique are essential to develop and growth. My book, in a nutshell, is about a world where people lost the ability to feel joy. Our brain can't use the happy hormones properly anymore, so basically the whole population falls into depression. However, a company is able to manufacture happiness into drugs – pills like dopamine that give you back the rush of reward, or oxytocin that helps you love and bond.
So basically, in this world, happiness is a product and it is for sale. To be happy, you have to have money, and to have money, you have to work. The corporate world of course takes advantage of this, and more than ever before, treats the lower class like garbage because everyone is too scared of being jobless in this world. There is no time for revolution, personal growth, or anything like that – because everyone is too tired and waiting for those little moments of happiness every once in awhile.
There is more to the story, but the part that pertains to this sub is basically this. I'll fill the book with social commentary about work today and how it takes it away our lives, slaving away the precious time we have on this earth – and unfortunately there's no much we can do about because we are all too tired and just trying to get those little moments of happiness before getting back to work.
Now, thoughts? Do you agree with me that this book fits the sub well? If so, do you have any advice, tips?
I'm looking for examples of how the work culture has taken over our lives. How absurdly abusive corporations can be, and how the wealthy don't understand what life is for the lower class because they simply don't get what we go through to just get by.
Any feedback is immensely appreciated!
