Imagine a world where everyone’s needs are met, and we work for the joy of it, not just for a paycheck

I believe everyone should be paid the same amount of money for their work. Actually, even better than that would be if we didn't have to worry about money at all! Instead, every person should be given the things they need to live a good life, like food, clothes, medicine, and stuff to keep clean. Right now, most people pick their jobs based on how much money they'll make, and that money is decided by something called the “market”. If we didn't have money, you could do whatever job you wanted to, but you'd still need to help out society in some way, since everyone else is helping you too. Right now, most people pick their jobs based on how much money they'll make, and that money is decided by something called the “market”. If we didn't have money, you could do whatever job you wanted to, but you'd still need to help out society in some way, since everyone else is helping you too.
In a world where everyone's needs are met, the professions we pursue would be based on what society needs most. Companies and researchers would focus on creating value and solving important problems, rather than chasing selfish or pointless goals.

If there are more engineers than needed, it wouldn't be a big problem. People would be assigned to work for a certain amount of time, and then they could take a break and make way for others who also want to contribute.

When it's your turn to work, you would feel good about it, because you know that someone else worked while you were resting at home. And when you're done, you can enjoy some time off too, knowing that others will take over and keep things going.

If there's an oversupply of engineers and a shortage of other important professions, the system would encourage people to consider different career paths. But in the end, there would be no such thing as a “better” or “worse” profession. As long as you're doing your part and contributing to society, that's what really matters.
