I saw a post recently about this and am not sure
I had a minor procedure done and was scheduled to be off for a month. I got a call a week before I was set to return saying I was being let go. Reason was “position eliminated” or something like that. I still have all the paperwork.
This was a few years ago (during Covid) and I’m working somewhere better.
Just wondering if I can do anything?
My previous employer was horrible, I did multiple departments while most everyone else only did one. That can be a whole separate post, just wondering if it’s too late or if I have something?
It is at will employment, so not illegal? As well as during 2020 covid layoffs. Or illegal since I was on medical leave? They had someone else doing my job, the store didn’t close down
Not FMLA or anything like that. Just a note from the surgeon
