Changed some details to hide specifics
Our CEO sent out an email this week that for our monthly sales performance reviews he wants people to be in the office. He feels like people aren’t paying attention to these so he wants people to come to the office on the days they’re broadcast.
Here’s the problems:
It’s a virtual meeting because it’s the whole of North America. So we’re asking people to come to the office to join a virtual meeting.
He wants attendance to be mandatory but doesn’t want to say it. “I would like to avoid language like mandatory but it is expected that everyone is in the office and they attend”
Even as a leader of this business I’m like how the hell am supposed to communicate that?!
