Let Go After Putting In My Notice

Hi, all. I have been on the job search for the last couple of months and I accepted and signed an offer with a 50% increase in pay with significantly better benefits. I really enjoyed the people I worked with and the job itself was relatively easy for the field but the pay just wasn’t there. I decided to put in a formal notice so I didn’t burn any bridges on my way out just in case the new job fell through. The following day, my service manager pulled me into his office, told me they appreciated everything I had done for them, and said they were “moving on” from me and that I was no longer needed.
