In you are getting a pay decrease after inflation, do what companies do and give them shrinkflation of how much you work.

I'm so frustrated at companies claiming they can't afford to give us pay increases enough to match inflation. That means we are actually getting a pay decrease each year. If customers are only willing to pay the same prices as last year, then companies shrink their product. Workers should do the same. If after inflation you are getting a 3% pay decrease then prorate your time and work 3% less. If they are only paying you enough to buy 97% of the things you could afford last year then you should only give them 97% of the time and work you did last year. You get what you pay for and your company isn't paying for all your time and work.
