Informed my Team leader he took a pay cut in return for 25 years.

We were talking about how the cost of living has skyrocketed and that a .90c raise was barely enough to see on our paycheck. T/L heard us and and laughed saying “I started here at 18 bucks an hour and didn't get a raise in 10 years. Yall should just be happy you're starting over 20. After a quick back and forth, We found out in 1998, part time at 18 dollars and makes just under 30 now. So while my co-workers were talking with him, I pulled up the bank of Canada inflation calculator and found out 18 dollars in 1998 was 30.94 today. So I told him, and asked him how it felt that after 25 years, all he got was a pay cut. He went real silent after that.
