My boss bid a multimillion union job (non union company) for 6 journeymen for 2 months of labor. He was only able to find acouple union guys willing to do the job. My manager asked me and one other employee if I was willing to go up there and pretend to be union to get the job done. I was willing to do so for a union paycheck. I was informed that I would only be paid My base rate. I refused. The coworker went. And because so he and my manager had to work 76 hour weeks after the boss decided to cut the other union guys after he realised his guys could slide under the radar.( which is why they wouldn't give me union scale). My manager decided to tell the boss to give me the smallest bonus he could while still keeping in company policy as retribution for standing up for myself. He ended up getting a 5 figure bonus for completing the job under budget through what I consider fraud. I have been given the cold shoulder ever since they got back.
I will be doing the bare minimum until I find another job.
