Got a text today asking me to come to an interview next week. I let them know I wasn’t available at that time because of a client call so they offered a virtual interview for today instead- great!
When I logged into the 2pm “zoom interview” it turned out to be a webinar, where someone was just sharing their screen and a video was playing with the company owner spewing crap about how great they are. And I couldn’t unmute or turn my camera on at all to ask questions.
I logged off right away. How disrespectful of my time can you possibly be? I have two questions I need answered- how much do you pay, and how do you treat your employees? And don’t you want to know ANYTHING about me? What a weird way to do things.
I texted the recruiter back and told them I thought this would be an interview and not a video, so I’d like to withdraw my application. They replied asking me to come in next week for an in-person interview at the time I’d already told them I could not make.
You can’t make this stuff up, Reddit. It’s too ridiculous.
