Went to an interview for a small family owned restaurant yesterday, they low balled me for 13 an hour while my experience and skill set is deserving of 17 at the least (last job was 19/H)
Now I really need the job right now, as the last job screwed me over firing me a week before we opened again, but as I'm doing the interview the lady asks me to read this sign, the rules for employees.
On this sign it says a lot of stuff that I'm like man wtf? I'm not allowed to have any food? No drinks? If there's leftover food at the end of the day we have to throw it out and can't have any? Alright annoying but not a deal breaker, until I get to the one that says do not come to work buzzed.
I'm currently suffering from something with my back/hip and the doc has given me tramadol as pain management. Trying to be proactive I tell the interviewer of the medication I take and that it occasionally can make me seem a little odd or off. This lady had the audacity to ask me if I could just not take the medication before coming to work. I told her absolutely not as if I don't take it my back can seize up to the point I can't move. She seemed so offended and repulsed by the idea of hiring someone with a medical condition that is Taking prescribed medication as intended. Even if they call me back I will be denying the position, not taking the chances of filing the position for them until they decide they don't need me and fire me for taking my meds.
