interviewing for serving jobs need advice

I'm applying to and interviewing for serving positions and I haven't had many jobs in my lifetime and I want some advice so I don't get stuck at another job that didn't give me a raise for the couple years I was there. Lots of places say they're like a family, teamwork is a must, etc., and I'm sure there are plenty here who have good tips on interviewing. I'm looking at tablecloth service jobs for the most part. Mainly, how do I stand up for myself? I need a set schedule, and to not do more than my job description without raises. Thank you! Sorry if this isn't the right sub idk what others would be good?
