I'm sure that a big reason why many of us have cars is because we have to for getting around. Whether it's commuting within a rural town or from a rural town to the big city. Then politics love to talk about how we are causing global warming by driving around cars. Well why not make cities for affordable to live in? I personally love taking for instance the MBTA we have in Boston. Yet if you want to live in the city or even it's surrounding neighborhoods? Pffft good luck with that if you don't have a job making 100k a year. Or 75k but split an apartment with 3-4 other people. I for one hate driving I can't stand it, but yet I love it because it's a huge convenience for me to get around my area. It's cheaper to be rural and own a car than it is to live in the city without one. Yet it's our fault we drive a lot of cars.
