Is anyone else really sick of adverts that open with questions?

You know the ones I mean. “Are you an experience worker with a can-do attitude? Do you take pride in the work you do? Are you capable of remaining calm in a busy work environment?” This might sound petty but those ads REALLY get my coat. Especially since a lot of the time they don't actually mention anything about the job itself. It's all about you; if YOU can provide what WE're looking for, then you are obligated to apply. What we can offer you isn't as important. Fuckin' hate it. I have way more respect for a company that just out and out says “we're looking for an experienced worker with a can-do attitude” instead of this smug backwards bullshit making it seem like they're doing you a favour because you fit their mold. It really does demonstrate the power of language, doesn't it? They're both providing the same…
