Is it okay for jobs to reduce your pay to minimum wage if you quit without 2 weeks notice?

I’m still working here and in fact enjoy it(sometimes) but I was informed when I was hired that if you don’t give a 2 weeks notice that your pay will be reduced to minimum wage(7.25) for your final check, and that missing shifts without attempting to find coverage will cost you a certain pay cut for a time of 30 days. Is this normal or lawful?
