I’m at a job that supports something unethical and it’s been making me miserable. I’ve been there 6 months. Out of the blue, I got offered a job somewhere with amazing benefits, and I would be working for a good cause and the pay is good. Seems like a healthy culture too and is unionized so I’m accepting it when the offer is in writing.
I’m taking PTO soon so I plan to give notice toward the end of PTO. I need some buffer time between jobs for mental health and as a result, I think I’d only be able to give them 7 days of work even though my notice period is “technically” 3 weeks.
Is this unethical to my supervisor? We aren’t super close but I like him enough.
