So I did retail for a decade, straight out of school. Recently I said F it and finally quit (my mental health thanks me). Now I do cleaning, which is not glamorous work, but I get a higher wage and I don’t need to be serving the public anymore. I usually actually enjoy cleaning. I just feel like now, I’m being paid for my work, for what I’m worth, rather than my job being to put more money in the big guy’s pocket, you know?
