Is it wrong of me to not cover shifts?

Everywhere I've worked when somebody calls out they always ask other people to cover their shifts (obviously) and most times the manager won't let them not come in if they cant find anybody. I never say yes even if I'm close with the person calling out. Is that rude of me? I worked part time due to chronic illness/mental illness and school and made my availability very clear. I can only work 3 days a week at most and for me its non negotiable. Why should I work when I've made it clear I can only work certain days? I know I don't work much and I don't feel obligated to tell my coworkers why I only work a few days a week. But it always seems to come up when they ask. “well I work 40 hours and you only work 20. One extra shift isn't going to kill you.”

Am I being too unavailable? If somebody took my shift before am I obligated to take their shift if I never said I would? Regardless of circumstances is working less hours make you automatically more available to cover shifts?

Edit: I’ve NEVER been the bare minimum type of worker. I go above an beyond (most just because messyness and unorganization makes me annoyed) to make sure the store is clean and people don’t have to do others work. The only way I’m not “being a team player” is covering shifts on my days off. Working extra hours is fine, working alone is fine but if I’m off I’d prefer to stay off
