I’m not sure if this is happening at all but a speculation based on someone trying to recruit me for a meta position. Everyone is aware of meta layoffs. Yesterday I got a call from a recruiter about a position at meta. The role was a 12 month contract and not competitive compensation at all. Can they do that? It really seems like they are trying to hire back cheaper.
