The job I work at pays me flat rate, meaning I don’t get paid hourly I get paid per unit of work I do. About 6 months ago the GM implemented a rule that makes the closing crew in my department stay late for as long as we have customers in the building, and we don’t get any compensation for being made to stay past when we are scheduled and if a customer does buy something only one of the multiple people in the closing crew can get paid for it because we are all flat rate. Is this legal? This is in Iowa if that helps
