Is my office culture so good because it’s a local union HQ or is this not as rare as I think it is?

I work at the HQ for a local chapter of an international union. We all just got 2 weeks pay as a Christmas bonus and everyone gets annual raises no matter what (as far as I can tell). There’s two executive assistants that have been here 15-20 years and make well over $100k because their pays just goes up every year. I get three weeks PTO and 8 sick days. 8:30-4:30 work hours with an hour paid lunch. I have the best health insurance of anyone I know. The office is really laid back and slow paced. Causal attire. Most of the time people are just hanging around chatting. My friends tell me horror stories about their offices and I can’t help but feel like if I ever leave this job, it’ll be hell out there. My friends tell me horror stories about their offices and I can’t help but feel like if I ever leave this job, it’ll be hell out there. Is it common at all the have situations like mine? Because I feel like it’s pretty good and idk if I can handle what my friends go through.

ETA: I forgot to mention that they have a scholarship fund that will pay room and board for you and any dependents at any accredited institution in the US.
