Why don't we learn about money in school? , None of my friends know how to file taxes because it wasn't taught, I imagine when the irs catches on it's going to be a problem even though its not their fault , 20 btw so 2 years out of hs
Some naive 18 year old can go to the bank and get a 70-150,000$ loan for school, but is “undecided on major” “wants to party” “live the college life” bank says sure good luck bud
But End up In debt , Working a job that has nothing to do with their degree or even end up working an average 18-20$ an hour job thats entry level and no room for growth
(**IM NOT SAYING THIS HAPPENS TO THE MAJORITY BUT THE AMOUNT IF TIMES I HEARD THIS STORY FROM OLDER PEOPLE IS CRAZY)
Now their trapped to their debt , and then you need a house so mortgage or rent which is insane $$$ nowadays , Oh don't forget baby is on the way , and then you have that job you hate 5 days a week just to keep head above water
I don't have anything against college My best friend wants to be a doctor and is mounting debt but I fully support her because its what she wants she knew it since day 1
I hate how they ingrain it into kids minds College = Success , I have a 100% fool proof plan just by learning about money, Working hard and being responsible and it's already working , no debt , good credit , 5 figures in my account , a free career path (Learning + Getting paid to work) Electrical apprenticeship , and alot more
and honestly the electrical thing is a means to an end , I just want the experience and be fully licensed, make connections so I can open my own company
I've learned things that my parents don't even know who are 57 , from a foreign country but still , they gate keep all this shit from non rich people
