I have a work from home job. It's for a tech company and they provided all the products. So a few days ago my product was not working properly so I was unable to take calls.
My direct supervisor instead of helping me with the issue sent me to a different supervisor who was on call. This on-call supervisor then texted me that she would clock me in and out for the next 2 days since I was having issues with my computer and IT never got back with me. 4 days later I'm here on my day off now finally with the issue resolved.
I'm Checking my clock-ins and I noticed that the on-call supervisor did not put in those two days like she told me she would, so I asked my direct supervisor who was now the on-call supervisor why it's not showing up.
He then states that the operations manager said that they can only compensate us for the time that we are working!!! (Taking calls)
Can they really do that?!?!
I was scheduled to be on the shift those days and I literally wasted 4 days trying to get this situated.
The previous on-call supervisor offered to do two of the four days for me and I have text proof from that supervisor and I sent it to my current supervisor and he is still declining to do it.
Idk what to do 🙁 The issue with my product was on their end.
And I'm just so frustrated cuz I have bills to pay and I could have gone out and done any type of work but was basically waiting all day for someone to call that never did -_-
