Is this wage theft.

So my work has paid holidays since the day I started almost 1 year ago. They added a new holiday months ago then printed it out on the holiday sheet and laminated it proceeded to tell us in a meeting that this new day is paid (feb 20, 2023). A week before that day they removed the time. Went from 8 hours to 0 on the electronic time clock (have photos of it too). Because they aren’t giving us hours for that day it fucks up the whole weeks overtime. Went to HR and they said we don’t know. We’ll let you know eventually. You may not even get paid. So is that considered wage theft or wrong in any manner that would allow me to stand up for myself other than getting the same ole we’ll make sure you get your pay eventually. In the state of NC if that helps and I did the math, between 25 employees over 4K is missing from their checks. Any advice would help.
