I had a few discussions with people online about retail jobs, and some said that working for small businesses was better than working for corporations because when there's a problem, small business owners and executives do try to solve that problem in different ways, whereas corporations don't even want to listen to their employees and don't care about their problems. They can get abused by the customers 8 hours a day 5 days a week straight in a way that isn't even profitable and the administration would still put their hand in the sand, because it's just more comfortable to ignore problems than to solve them.
