It’s not about Tipping. It’s about Transparency in Price

I hate tipping culture. Not because I hate servers making living wage. I hate tipping culture like how I hate that the tax is calculated after, how there are ridiculous extra fees on hotel booking and uber eats orders. The ONLY reason why you’d put 18% “service fee” or 14% “fair wage fee” is so that you can lure in customers with your low ‘base fee’ and then jack up the price at the till to promote more spending. That avocado toast isn’t really $12 like it says on the menu, it’s really $16 after tip&tax. Instead of saying you will be putting on some made up ‘fee’, include it in the price so I can actually see what I will be paying. Abolish tipping and put down what the actual price is on the menu so I know exactly what I am paying when I order. Stop tricking people…
