Seeing all of the posts about CEOs raking in more money in one year than most people get in their whole lives while their employees have stories of having to be on food stamps or depending on government assistance to live, it once again proves that these CEOs never learned basic economics.
What goes around, comes around. The more free capital, the higher the possible capital gains. If there is less free capital, there is in turn less potential for gains from these exact businesses. Their own greed will cause their (business') struggle and eventual downfall if they do not realize what they are doing.
Or maybe this is exactly what they want to do. Maybe they want to feel like they have the power to grant economic prosperity and security for hundreds of thousands of people, but give nothing. Maybe they want to have the very workers that are making them money to struggle. They say they want to create a “stress” for their workers intentionally, because a hungry worker is an obedient worker. But hungry children don't obey their teachers. And unless things change radically and soon, I fear they will have to learn that lesson personally. Things are going to get worse before they get better, but how bad will they get first?
