I’ve been permanently injured at work and now my company is trying to screw me over

Any advice is appreciated: I was injured at work and I’m worried about not receiving the level of settlement I should for the severity of my injury. I have dealt with severe depression and s*icidal ideation because of this. Workman’s compensation sent me to a doctor who doesn’t really specialize in what I need Months of PT and meds I still have chronic pain and other issues Their doctor dismissed me with what I believe to be a low PPI rating I’m going for a second opinion, hoping they can confirm that my symptoms are caused by my work injury I was offered a small settlement, and decided to reject it and wait for the second opinion. I was injured at work and I’m worried about not receiving the level of settlement I should for the severity of my injury. I have dealt with severe depression and s*icidal ideation because of this.

Workman’s compensation sent me to a doctor who doesn’t really specialize in what I need

Months of PT and meds

I still have chronic pain and other issues

Their doctor dismissed me with what I believe to be a low PPI rating

I’m going for a second opinion, hoping they can confirm that my symptoms are caused by my work injury

I was offered a small settlement, and decided to reject it and wait for the second opinion.

I have a lawyer; he seems to only be able to give me vague answers about whether I’ll realistically get a significantly better settlement if I wait for a second opinion.

I’m not sure if I’m doing everything I should be to receive the highest possible settlement. I feel like working a normal job with my daily symptoms will probably be extremely difficult for me now.

I think my company has been trying to starve me out by greatly reducing my hours. If I quit, it could be trouble for my case.
