I’ve been trying to find entry level part time work since I’m starting school back up here soon.
I’ve filled out probably 10-20 applications in just a few days. It’s now been a week and a half and I’ve heard back on two.
What really ground my gears was one job didn’t require prior experience. I applied and it wanted me to take one of those dumb “let’s see if you understand how scheduling appointments works” tests.
The test took me twenty minutes to do at 10pm and the very next morning they email me to say they are not moving forward with my application, no explanation of why.
When I checked my results of their dumb test I scored “expert level.” But yet they immediately denied me.
At least they got back to me. Haven’t gotten any other responses even though all the jobs are still posted. And I have a pretty strong resume and am overqualified for the jobs I’m applying to.
