I’ve just been sent this by my ex employer. I haven’t received the payslip yet so haven’t been able to work it out but from what my pay was it seems like a lot to take off. I’m guessing I have to pay it back though (UK based)

Hi Ben Hope you are well. There was a problem with payroll over the weekend, the bank holiday messed things up. It seems you’ve been paid for 24 too many hours, I’ll send the payslip to you via email later along with our account details and the amount to send back. Apologies for the mix up Alex.
