I’ve never tried to find another job until now. What an experience. (Rant)

Trying to leave my almost non-existence pay increase , toxic work environment job and finding nothing but 10-15 an hour jobs that “require” multiple years of experience, some without an actual website of their own is simply depressing. Not only this, but being denied multiple times for “entry level” jobs in different career areas is truly an eye opener for me. Considering I've been employed at a fortune 500 company listed in the 30s out of the 500 in a management position for 7 years. How are you even supposed to switch careers without making an unlivable wage and hoping you aren't let go with all the current large companies reducing jobs? How long can this continue? It really makes me think about why American youth can have a substance abuse problem/glamorize fast money and feel hopeless. What is out there for the youth going forward?
