I recently got hired as a bakery clerk at an Albertsons. This is the first corporate job I have worked, as my past 2 jobs were both small, privately owned businesses. Also I am still young. I’ve been working as a closer for a month now, and have worked alone more than I have with somebody. I barely know what I am supposed to be doing, as the 2 people who taught me had 1 and 2 months of experience respectively. I am a pretty decent worker, and have been doing a good job, but to top this all off, I haven’t actually been paid yet. All of my checks were sent to a company sanctioned card, and I was never told that this would be the default way I would be paid. I have applied to have it changed to direct deposit to my debit card, but that is still in the works. In the mean time, I have been trying to take the money that is on the company card off of it, which has proven significantly difficult. One of my coworkers quit recently, so we don’t have someone to work my days off, so I am called in quite often(I have only ever gone in once on my weekend, but I’ve been called in once a week). It’s just been hard, and I needed to rant about it.
