New welding job, review is to take place after your 90 days, it’s now day 159. I was told on my 90 days to “give it 2 weeks” fast forward I’m in a new position, double the work for the same pay (the review would bump my pay up based on skills in both areas).
Running my own bay in the new department, training new people, & obligated to stay 9 hours minimum when every other department in the plant gets out after 8 hours.
Given my final notice on January 3rd by my old supervisor(?) for taking too many days off last year (even though time doesn’t roll over so it’s use it or lose it). Was never given a verbal / written / or even talked to about it before that.
The money is good & it’s close to home, plus I love the people I work with. But, to be honest this job has been nothing but empty promises & unfair treatment from the jump.
Mostly venting here, but curious if anyone knows if I can be fired in the future because I was given my final warning (which I refused to sign, respectfully)?
