I work retail and am working about 30 hours a week but i’ve noticed my paychecks have been short and the math wasn’t adding up. At my work we get either a 15 minute break that is paid or a 30 minute unpaid break (neither are legally required as i’m working mostly 5-6 hour shifts) Our system to clock in has been down at work so we’ve been having to write it down on a paper and as i go to clock in today i noticed that one of the managers went and wrote my break in yesterday as a 30 instead of the 15 i actually took. i’m furious not even because of the money but rather the nerve they have to do that. it’s basically taking a day of work off my checks.
